Abstract

In this article I will attempt to reconstruct some basic aspects of Dewey's theory of evaluation. In particular, I will refer to “The Quest for Certainty” and “Theory of Valuation”. In particular, I will try to highlight the anti-dualistic character of Dewey's theory, with a specific focus on the consequences of his rejection of absolute and ultimate values. This involves an original conceptualization of the relationship between values, valuations and interests.
