Abstract

The Finnish school system is considered one of the best in the world. How does it work? What makes it so effective? What can we learn from it? In this paper we try to answer these questions, understanding how this educational system has evolved over time, thanks to a continuous process of innovation and investments. Year after year, with variable geography and geometry, in an osmotic exchange between the base (managers, teachers, students, families, municipalities) and the different governments, the current system has been built and brought to work.
