The Estonian school system has many strengths, especially in digitization and training at all ages in Media Education, with national, constantly monitored, wide-ranging projects. The school stands as a benchmark in the social system in Estonia and ensures the achievement of good and high overall levels of education, which places the small Baltic state at the top of the world rankings of educational systems.
The main features of the education system from kindergarten through the completion of compulsory education will be briefly presented, and at the same time the aspects of Estonian schooling regarding assessment, teacher training, and educational outlook provided by the Ministry of Education will be explained, together with a quick analysis of the strengths and weaknesses of the entire education system in the Baltic state.
