The article explores the fairy tale and mystery dimension in the pedagogical vision of P. Florenskij (1882-1937), by highlighting the emotional aspects of childhood life which constitute, for the great Russian mathematician and philosopher, the foundations of a true knowledge of the world also in the scientific field. Drawing inspiration from Letters from the Gulag and from his Memories the originality of Florenskij’s pedagogical reflection is redefined and it is therefore capable of placing itself with authority and originality in the context of contemporary Philosophy of Education.
