The challenge of interdisciplinarity in school

Starting from a terminological premise to define the exact meaning of the terms “multidisciplinary”, “interdisciplinary”, “transdisciplinary”, we intend to focus on the current state of the school on the theme of interdisciplinarity, in its several di- dactic and methodological features. On the one hand we try to focus on the criti-cal aspects, on the other hand we intend to shift attention to the innovative ideas that can lead the school to a decisive improvement, in the coming years, towards the high perspective of transdisciplinarity. In the last decade many good practices have been developing in schools: we try to outline the fundamental lines of them.
